Low pressure filters are installed in hydraulic circuits with low pressure, up to 30-40 bar.
The low-pressure filter can fulfil the functions of both a drain filter – used for full-flow filtration of the working fluid in the drain line, and a circulation filter – used in various circulating filtration systems, separate circuits of cooling units and oil filtration. Low-pressure filter housings are also used as pressure filters in systems with low operating pressure, mainly in circulating systems of liquid lubrication.
Low-pressure filters are equipped with a bypass valve to protect the filter element from destruction in case of exceeding the operating differential pressure and to protect the drain line from back pressure.
A separate category of drain filters is filters for installation directly on the oil tank of the system. This type of filter is installed directly on the tank by means of a flange connection. The main body of the filter is inside the tank, while the connection ports, filler neck and contamination indicator remain on top. This design combines the functions of two filters – a filling and a drain filter.

All filters are equipped with filter element contamination indicators. The contamination indicator signals the need to replace the filter element when 80% of filter contamination is reached.
